The 1975 Wants to Collaborate with an Unlikely Artist

Love it if we made thank u, next

The 1975 has revealed they’ve been dying to collaborate with an artist you might not expect. Are you ready for this… Ariana Grande. Yes. We’re not kidding.

The band just performed their take on Grande’s personal-themed hit ‘thank u, next’ for the BBC. It was there that Matty Healy said that Grande is someone he started to care about for ‘some reason’. Creepy? Maybe but it’s Matty Healy so it’s not surprising whatsoever.

The cover ended up getting Grande’s attention and she retweeted the post with a big-fat and also appropriate heart emoji. So, could a collaboration be in The 1975’s future? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, you can read more about what Healy had to say here and check out the cover of ‘thank u, next’ below.
