The Lumineers Release “Gloria” Off Their Upcoming Album

The Lumineers will be releasing their third album III September 13 via Dualtone/Decca. “Gloria” is the first single off the album that just dropped. The song “is about love between an addict and her family” Wesley Schultz shares with Rolling Stone.

III was written by Schultz and multi-instrumentalist Jeremiah Fraites and sees bands newest member violinist/vocalist Lauren Jacobson, who played on the groups previous two releases. “This collection of songs worked out in a beautiful way, and I feel with this album we’ve really hit our stride” Fraites says about the new music.

The bands last album, Cleopatra, came out in 2016 featuring singles “Ophelia”, “Cleopatra”, “Angela” and “Sleep on the Floor.”

The Lumineers will be heading on tour in support of the upcoming album with their “III: The World Tour.” Kicking off the tour this summer with a series of festivals including Bonnaroo Music Festival, Outside Lands and Woodstock Music & Arts. They will be headed to Europe anf the U.K. in November with more dates to be announced.
