Weezer is out here making peoples wishes come true. TLC’s Chilli recently told the Rolling Stone, after hearing Weezer’s cover of “No Scrubs,” “I hope we can perform it together. When I heard it, I loved it! They did a great job.” She also shared “it feels really good because when you’re in the studio working, you hope and pray that you make songs that have longevity. And we have, so that’s a blessing. I’m telling you, I wanna reach out to Weezer and try to make this performance happen!”
Now we have Weezer welcoming Chilli to join the band on stage during their Coachella set Saturday.
Tears for Fears were also a surprise guest during Weezer’s set for “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.”
Both “No Scrubs” and “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” appear on Weezer’s recent covers LP The Teal Album.
