Edge Headlines
NOOOOOOO CAAAANADAAAAA!
Nooooooo Canadaaaaaaaaaa... Look, Canada, we know you’re up there celebrating today and it was a great game! Kudos to you. But as much as we get along, we’re Americans and as such we had to do something that made us feel just a little better. So this past Monday… We banned Canadian rock from the Edge.
Now we get along again, but this was just something we had to do. We hope you understand our passive-aggressiveness. We still welcome your comments and reaction, but keep in mind that "Oh BANada" is officially over.
Feel free to comment below…

(3/8/2010 12:06:22 PM) A US first grade teacher explains to her class that she is an American. She asks her students to raise their hands if they are American too. Not really knowing why but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like flashy fireworks. There is, however, one exception. A girl named Kristen has not gone along with the crowd. The teacher asks her why she has decided to be different. "Because I am not an American." "Then", asks the teacher, "What are you?". "I'm a proud Canadian," boasts the little girl. The teacher is a little perturbed now, her face slightly red. She asks Kristen why she is a Canadian. "Well, my mom and dad are Canadians, so I'm a Canadian too. "The teacher is now really angry. "That's no reason," she says loudly. "What if your mom was a crappy hockey player, and your dad was a crappy hockey player? Would that mean that you're a crappy hockey player too?" A pause, and a smile. Then, says Kristen, "Nope! That'd mean I'm an American!" |

(3/6/2010 1:18:04 PM) I'm a Canadian and I think it's hilarious that you guys did this. Come on people-- they're having a bit of fun. It's humour (with a 'u'). And to the one who said the US had a better team because you have better players....well, the proof is in the final score, isn't it? I live in London, England now and I can tell you that ALL Canadian athletes were praised for their accomplishments. |

(3/6/2010 9:29:29 AM) if your reading this and your a Canadian as I am, GET A GRIP, what the edge did was pretty light hearted really, but in true Canadian fashion the response was cocky and arrogant,(possibly the French influence) it was overkill big time, like taking a howitzer to a knife fight. Thanks USA for a great hockey game and a great rivalry and friendship, apologies for all of the smart a## comments by my countryman. |
