Breaking Benjamin is an alternative metal band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, formed in 1998 by vocalist Benjamin Burnley and drummer Jeremy Hummel. The band gained a strong local following and in 2000, two friends of Burnley, Aaron Fink and Mark Klepaski joined Breaking Benjamin as guitarist and bassist. The band is signed with Hollywood records and have released hree albums. Their first album 'Saturate' was released in 2002 and their second album 'We Are Not Alone' followed in 2004 and was a Platinum album. Breaking Benjamin's third album 'Phobia' was released in 2006 and was a Gold album. In mid-2010 the band started a hiatus due to frontman Burnley's recurring illnesses and inability to tour. Further complications arose in August 2011 when Mark Klepaski and Aaron Fink were fired from the band. In April 2013 Burnley announced he would press forward with the band name in the future without any of the other original members, and drummer Chad Szeligaannounced his departure from the band.
