Crossfade is a post grunge band originating in Columbia, South Carolina. The group came together in 1999 with the merging of singer/guitarist Ed Sloan with bassist/backup singer Mitch James and drummer Brian Geiger as the power trio The Nothing and then the name was changed to Crossfade in 2002. The group added singer and DJ Tony Byroads from Buffalo, New York. They released their first full-length self-titled album in April of 2004, 'Crossfade'. Then in 2006, the band released 'Falling Away' which peaked at #30 on the Billboard 200. Their next album is still untitled and yet to be released in 2008. Crossfade self-released an album titled 'Cold/Dead Skin' in September of 2002. In 2011 Crossfade headlined Rockapalooza in Jackson, MI.
