Mick Jagger appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in a comedy sketch built around a simple visual gag: real people performing with fake arms.
During the segment, Jagger and Fallon acted in a fictional soap opera scene called “Jacob’s Patience.” The sketch placed Jagger behind the counter of a jewelry store named Hackney Diamonds, a reference to The Rolling Stones’ 2023 album of the same name.
The bit followed the format of Fallon’s recurring “Real People, Fake Arms” sketch, where performers keep their own arms hidden while mannequin arms are used in front of them. The setup creates awkward movements during ordinary actions, including handling objects and reacting to dialogue.
Jagger played along with the scene as Fallon moved through the scripted exchange. The sketch also included several Rolling Stones references, connecting the comedy moment to the band’s recent music and long-running public profile.
The appearance marked a return for the sketch format after several years away from the show.
