What started as a life-changing adoption story has grown into a community effort to help homeless pets find the loving families they deserve.

After adopting her dog, Lloyd, through the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter, Lexi experienced firsthand how powerful the bond between a rescue pet and their person can be. Her adoption journey resonated with animal lovers across Western New York and inspired a new mission: helping other shelter animals get the second chance they deserve.

That’s how Lexi’s Adoption Corner was born.

Every week on 103.3 The Edge, Lexi teams up with City of Buffalo Animal Shelter volunteer Dawn Cochran to share updates from the shelter, highlight adoption success stories, and introduce listeners to a featured pet looking for a forever home. Whether it’s a playful puppy, a lovable senior dog, a curious cat, or an overlooked shelter resident, each featured animal gets a chance to connect with potential adopters throughout the Buffalo community.
